If you’re reading this, there is a very good chance this website’s Instagram account has been shut down by the metaverse.
And while “mham.blog” was only being updated in a rather ad-hoc manner, I am still sore about it.
I’ll tell you for why.
Mham.blog was following over a thousand accounts, a thousand. Some of those were people I knew, others companies/charities I had an interest in. Quite frankly most were complete strangers I had never even met (nor intended to). Shortly after creating the account I went on a crazy follow spree and had never gotten around to clearing the ranks.
So that’s what I did and this is what I got for it.
The worst part? The appalling user experience means the password I’ve used for the account is *apparently* incorrect, and when I try and enact the “change my password” feature the email link takes me direct to this screen again.
What can I do to resolve this? Nothing, just accept that I can’t access mham.blog and assume that at some point Instagram might delete the account.
Instagram, for the record this is utter rubbish.
Final thoughts on what has been a needlessly angry process.
- Will I lose sleep over this? I guess not.
- Does Instagram have me blacklisted on some kind of bot list now? Quite possibly.
- In the grand scheme of things, does it matter? No…
- So, overall, it is really worth getting annoyed over? Hell yes! Instagram are losers and as for their user experience…it can go do one.
